Standardized testing

Observation in play or conversation
-
Caregiver/teacher interviews
-
Review of relevant medical/educational history
Following assessment, you will receive:
-
Clear explanation of findings
-
A collaborative plan for next steps

Optional: A detailed written report
We provide comprehensive assessment reports that help families better understand their child's communication strengths and needs while supporting referrals, diagnostic processes, funding applications, school-based supports, and access to additional services when appropriate.
Our goal is not just to identify challenges, but to understand your child’s strengths and how they learn best.

Each group is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child, and placement can be based on a speech-language pathologist’s recommendation or through parent self-referral with consultation.
Social Communication
Structured group therapy focused on social communication (pragmatics), such as conversation skills, perspective-taking, interpreting nonverbal cues, and engaging effectively with peers.
Language
Development
Structured group sessions focused on developing expressive and receptive language skills, such as vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension, and storytelling.
Speech &
Fluency
Structured group sessions focused on speech clarity and fluency, helping children practice speech sounds, improve intelligibility, and build confidence in speaking.
Specialized
Groups
These groups are individualized and may incorporate a range of supports and approaches based on each child’s strengths and needs, including the use of AAC.
Parent Coaching
Parent coaching is an important part of every service we offer. We work closely with parents and caregivers to share practical strategies that fit naturally into daily routines. This might include ways to support your child’s communication during play, mealtimes, or conversations throughout the day.
Our goal is not to add more to your plate, but to help you feel confident in supporting your child in ways that are realistic, effective, and aligned with your family’s values. When caregivers are supported, children have more opportunities to practice, succeed, and build lasting skills.

Hanen® It Takes Two to Talk®
The Hanen® It Takes Two to Talk® program is an evidence-based parent coaching program designed for young children with language delays and their families. Built on the understanding that caregivers are a child's most important communication partners, the program provides practical strategies to help parents support communication during everyday routines and interactions.
At Strongpaths, this approach aligns closely with our philosophy by empowering caregivers with the knowledge and confidence to create meaningful communication opportunities that foster lasting growth beyond the therapy session.
